Transparent sail made of stainless-steel wire mesh DOKA-MONO 1851

Designed by architect Sascha Werth, a two-story building was built on the banks of Germany's third-largest water reservoir, offering an area of around 600 m² for training rooms, boats, and material storage, as well as apartments for students.

Description

The show-stealer is a customized, contemporary sail façade made by W.S. Tyler. The seven-meter high, five-meter wide sail was molded into its complex, one-of-a-kind shape with a stable, transparent mesh. The modern design piece is a signature example of wire mesh’s immense free-form potential.
